Stand Up Paddle board (SUP)
The latest watersports craze has been stand up
paddle boarding, and for good reason! While it may appear to be a laid
back and relaxing outing, the upper body paddling combined with the
lower body balancing makes for a great work out. Add the opportunity
for fishing or diving and you’ve got the total package. The simplicity
of paddling on flat water during a still summer morning is unmatched.

Paddle Into Fitness offers the following classes at
OEX Mission Bay and OEX Sunset Beach. All SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness
Instructors are registered Yoga Instructors or Personal Trainers and
are certified in American Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid.
Beginner Lesson This lesson will teach you the basics of stand up
paddle boarding. It covers ocean safety, proper stance and form, and
paddle techniques. No matter what your experience or level of fitness,
you will be paddling your very first session! It is highly recommended
you take a beginner lesson before taking SUP Yoga or SUP Fitness.
Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga
Come enjoy the ancient practice of Yoga combined
with Stand Up Paddle Boarding! These classes take your favorite yoga
routines and put them on the water! Yoga practice brings balance and
restores all bodily systems by creating physical, mental and spiritual
harmony. Both yoga and stand up paddle boarding are great for building
better balance, coordination, endurance, and body strength!
Nautical Flow
Develop better balance, coordination, and body
strength by linking Ujjayi breathing to asanas (physical postures)
through a series of sun salutations in this energizing Vinyasa class.
The connection with movement and breath will ease the mind and allow
you to experience a sense of peace and tranquility. More advanced
postures are introduced including backbends, arm balances, and
inversions.
Stand Up Paddle Board Fitness
Even one 30-minute cardio session can increase
your smarts, boost productivity, lower stress levels, rev your energy,
and elevate your mood….turning you into an unstoppable success machine!
The benefits of exercise are endless, but getting yourself on the
treadmill isn’t always easy. With SUP Fitness, we take the workout to
the beach and use the board and paddle to create an innovative and fun
way to get fit. Why go to the gym when you can burn calories in a
beautiful environment while getting a tan?
Surfer's Sculpt
Build a stronger core, improve your cardio, and
increase endurance strength through the amazing sport of stand up
paddle boarding combined with beach fitness. This class is guaranteed
to tone and sculpt every muscle with paddle sprints, beach running, and
core exercises to get you a killer surfer’s body!
Private Lessons, Private Groups, or Personal
Training Stand up Paddle Boarding can make your birthday party,
corporate team building, sports team cross training, or family vacation a
lot more fun, active, and healthy! Whether you want a beginner lesson,
a SUP Yoga class, or a combo of the two, Gillian can customize your
package to fit your needs!
Proper attire is trunks and t shirts or swim suits for our flat water beginner and intermediate lessons. Bring a towel, as part of the adventure is the possibility of falling in. Advanced sessions, we recommended a wetsuit as you will definitely be in the water.

**Don’t have room in your apartment for a stand up paddle board? No
problem, we will store it for you at our facility, and you can have
access to it whenever you like! Storage available soon.
