Throughout the entire month of December we will be offering nightly guided kayak tours through the canals of Huntington Harbor. Departing just after sunset (approximately 5PM) and returning around 6:30. The number of kayaks is limited to twelve tandem kayaks. We supply everything you need as well as some hot cocoa to warm you up. Cost is $55 per person and we accept all major credit cards. What if I have never kayaked before?

Our kayaks and our location are ideal for beginners. Life jackets as well as basic instruction are provided.

Where do we go?

You are paddling through the canals of Huntington Harbor, we will have the kayaks ready on the beach adjacent to the store.

Will I get wet?

There is a slight possibility you may get splashed by the paddle. Bring a change of clothes and a towel just in case.

Can we get lost?

This is a guided tour with two OEX staff watching out for the group.

What should I wear?

Dress warmly to ensure your enjoyment, a warm jacket, hat and even gloves can be removed if too warm. 

Can kids do this?

Children of all ages are welcome, and we supply appropriate sized life jackets. we recommend they be at least 5 years old and each paired up with an adult.

How long do we paddle?

Time on the water is approximately 1.5 hours. We go over paddling technique and safety concerns prior to launching.

Is this safe?

We outfit the kayaks with sufficient lighting and have a leader and person following to watch over the entire group wich we limit to 12 kayaks to ensure your safety as well as your enjoyment.
